Women in Travel Retail honored at TFWA World Exhibition

Women in Travel Retail (WiTR) is once again partnering with the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) at the 2021 Global Conference, hosting a TFWA Lounge event on Tuesday, October 26 at Carlton Beach dedicated to women in the industry.

TFWA (Tax Free World Association) is a brand association, whose mission is to identify trends and opportunities, raise awareness and provide a business platform for duty free and travel retail to thrive.

The TFWA conference returns this year in physical form to Cannes, October 24-28, 2021. Speakers include TFWA President Jaya Singh, Trip.com Group CEO Jane Sun, DFS Group CEO Benjamin Vuchot, IATA Vice President for Europe Rafael Schvartzman, and Imagen Insights Co-Founder Jay Richards.

Conferences will focus on the future of air travel and the purchasing habits of Generation Z consumers. The TFWA Lounge event, taking place Tuesday, October 26 at Carlton Beach, is dedicated to women in the travel retail sector.

This year’s event, which will take place from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm on October 26, will be open to all those working in the travel retail sector and will replace the traditional WiTR networking event at the Palais des Festivals. For the second year in a row, the association is collaborating with Impact Hong Kong, which helps homeless women settle into a safe home and regain their mental and physical well-being.

Sarah Branquinho, President of WiTR, said, “Strong relationships are key to the success of the duty-free and travel-retail community and WiTR members, like many others, are looking forward to the opportunity to meet face-to-face at TFWA in Cannes. After such a turbulent time, this will be the perfect opportunity to celebrate with all colleagues as we come together to revitalize our fabulous industry.
