Watchbox, the world leader in pre-owned luxury watches, presents an immersive concept in New York and plans to expand to London and Shanghai.

WatchBox unveils the world of its newest collector’s lounge in New York and outlines its next phase of expansion. The company, which will soon celebrate its 5th anniversary, continues to expand its international presence. After opening locations in Zurich and Riyadh in the first quarter of 2022, the group is announcing its arrival in London and Shanghai over the next six months.

WatchBox’s expansion strategy is targeting regions that are forecast to experience strong growth in the luxury watch segment,” said Justin Reis, CEO and co-founder of WatchBox. “We are looking forward to expanding our physical presence in the UK and China, two of the top five watch markets in the world. We will introduce our valuable inventory and customer advisory model there. Both London and Shanghai enjoy a strong watch culture locally and are leading destinations for business.

Since 2017, WatchBox has successfully expanded into the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, as well as the Middle East, where a joint venture with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has established the company in Dubai and Riyadh. As part of its next phase of expansion, the company will develop its collector’s lounge concept in several key markets in the United States.

Through its collaboration with Studio Mellone, a renowned design firm, WatchBox is cultivating a customer experience based on Andre Mellone‘s approach. The Brazilian designer has built a reputation for creating contemporary, chic and inviting spaces and has designed for Thom Browne, Carolina Herrera and Jason Wu. His concept for WatchBox will be transposed to New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Boca Raton. The New York showcase is intended to be a true showcase for the company, with an opening planned for the third quarter of 2022.

The 460-square-foot space at 57th Street and Madison Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan, features a lounge area with event space with private showrooms, a meeting room and video and digital studios. An interactive “watch lab” also allows visitors to get a closer look at WatchBox’s watch collections, with a dedicated team of advisors.

Our customers and advisors are driven by a shared passion for watchmaking and a taste for collecting. With Andre’s influence, we wanted to create immersive environments that enrich retail with entertainment, personalized service and social connections; and watches are at the heart of that experience,” enthuses Justin Reis.

WatchBox plans to open a location at the Boca Raton Resort in Miami’s Design District and an expansive lounge, showroom and event space in West Hollywood later in 2022.
