Valentino fall-winter haute-couture show: between art and fashion

Valentino’s Fall-Winter 2021-2022 haute couture show in Venice on July 15 was a blend of art and fashion, celebrating the essence of the Italian house.


Direction Venice for Valentino’s fall-winter 2021 haute-couture collection. Unveiled outside the official calendar, this collection initiated a real dialogue between art and fashion. And for this show, Valentino collaborated with 17 young contemporary painters.

To punctuate the event, which was held in the Gaggiandre of the Arsenale in Venice, the luxury brand called on the London artist Cosima. In these two shipyards with a large internal basin, many events took place such as the International Exhibition of Art and Architecture.

And in this setting, Pierpaolo Picciolo honored Valentino‘s know-how. On this occasion, the Italian house unveiled airy feathered hats, chromatic pop splashes, sculptural ball gowns, under bright colors.

We find the touch of the artists invited by the designer. And through a new film, Gianluigi Ricuperati, invited by Pierpaolo Piccioli, came to highlight this creative process imagined by Valentino and artists.

 

In total, hundreds of different materials were used to create the pieces of the haute-couture collection, and several hundred hours of meticulous work.
