Tod’s rose its shares
Tod’s’ shares rose by 12% on Wednesday after the Della Valle family annouced that they would like to increase their participation in the group.
Indeed, the chairman Diego Della Valle engaged to buy up to 5% of the luxury group’s shares, which represents 1.7 million of Tod’s shares. Della Vall owns 60% of the groupe at the moment.
Following the announcement, shares increased of 12,6% at 42,02€ at 2.30pm. The day before, they were down to 36,9€, a result not seen since 2009.
The company undergoes financial difficulties for several months despite their new strategy in the second semester.
AccorHotels opens new luxury hotel with Orient Express in Bangkok
The group AccorHotels announced the opening of a new luxury hotel with the brand Orient Express in the King Power Mahanakhon, a major place in Bangok.
This new hotel will take inspiration from the Orient Express universe. The hotel will propose the latest innovations, a unique gastronomy and a high-quality design.
« We are proud to offer the Orient Express‘s heritage, mystery aura and exotism to Bangkok », declared Michael Issenberg, General Director of AccorHotels in Asia-Pacific.
To do so, the architect Tristan Auer is in charge of the hotel decoration His objective ? To revive the Art Deco interiors and the vegetal patterns from the original train of the Orient Express.
Chanel’s pop-up store in Courchevel
As every year for 10 years now, Chanel opens a pop-up store in Courchevel (Savoy, France). This year again, skiers can enjoy Karl Lagarfeld’s last creations. The store will stay open until april 2019.
The two-levels store presents the Ready-to-Wear Autumn-Winter 2018/19 collection and Croisière 2018/19. These two will soon be joined by the pre-collection Ready-to-Wear Sping-Summer 2019.
Concerning the set, the brand put huge black painted metal Chanel letters in front of the store which glow up in the night.
Swatch nominated Bertrand Delvert as the new France manager
Bertrand Delvert, Tissot International marketing and communication Vice-president, will become Swatch France manager on January 1st 2019. He will take turns to Florence Ollivier-Lamarque
