The city of Cannes is going to offer a new academic training course, with the aim of analysing the behaviour of high-end buyers via social networks. Surprisingly, the partners of this action are none other than the application TikTok and Luxury Tech.
TikTok is a social video sharing network. Created in 2016, the app became a hit with young people in 2020, during the first containment, where challenges and personalised videos “tips” and fun multiplied.
In addition to the entertainment offered by the application, it also has an educational aspect. It has launched an e-commerce training module for users and advertisers. This training provides a comprehensive series of courses on sales tools and policies, as well as the latest updates to the online store. The city of Cannes then found its interest in the social network and appointed it as a partner in the project.
Like TikTok, Launchmetrics is also a partner in the training course being prepared in Cannes. Launchmetrics offers fashion, luxury and beauty managers a wide range of software, industry data and services to improve their performance.
In short, the aim of this academic programme is to study the behaviour of high-end buyers, this is how can these buyers be influenced ? The economists will also look at the relationship between emotion and economic behaviour.
This “Master of science luxury tech entrepreneurship & affluencer management” will be possible from the beginning of the next academic year, on the future campus in Cannes. It will welcome 25 to 30 French and foreign students, specialising in the world of luxury. A tailor-made preparation to manage “affluencers”, influencers of a new kind.
This project allows the city of Cannes “to be at the cutting edge by training, thanks to artificial intelligence and the behavioural economy, the talents of tomorrow in professions that may not yet exist in France,” declared its Jeannick Brisswalter, President of the Côte d’Azur University.
We can’t wait for the start of the new school year to find out more about these new courses and professions.
