The American jeweler Tiffany & Co. organized a gala evening yesterday, June 9, to inaugurate its new exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London: Vision and Virtuosity.

For this special occasion, many personalities have made the trip to the British capital. Israeli actress Gal Gadot, the French Leila Bekhti, British actresses Nicola Coughlan and Simone Ashley, Princess Maria Olympia of Greece and Denmark and Korean singer Rosé, among others, were all there last night to celebrate 150 years of Tiffany’s presence in London.

This brand new exhibition was created in honor of the 150th anniversary of Tiffany & Co.’s presence in London. The exhibition features 400 pieces from the Tiffany archives.

An exhibition organized to trace the history of the House

Divided into seven parts, the exhibition covers the history of the American jeweler in many different themes. The first theme is the history of the founding of the brand by Charles Lewis Tiffany, which began on September 18, 1837.

As one moves through the exhibition, one discovers the various iconic high jewelry collections of the house such as the annual Blue Book, as well as the collaborations with the different artistic directors that have emerged since the birth of the jeweler. The theme of wedding is also addressed in one of the sections of the exhibition, as Tiffany is a preferred and go-to jeweler for engagement rings.

In addition, a section of the exhibition is dedicated to the famous movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s starring Audrey Hepburn. Both the original script for the film and the iconic black Givenchy dress Audrey Hepburn wore in the film are on display at the Saatchi Gallery.

We just want every visitor to leave the room and be as crazy as Audrey Hepburn was about Tiffany. If that’s what they can take away from the show when they leave, I think mission accomplished,” said Anthony Ledru, President and Chief Executive Officer of the jewelry house.

Sumptuous diamonds and exceptional jewelry pieces are finally presented in one of the last rooms of the exhibition.

An emerald necklace last seen on Lady Gaga at this year’s BAFTA Awards, a pair of gold and diamond encrusted binoculars, the stunning 128.54 carat Tiffany diamond worn by Beyonce and Lady Gaga in the past, as well as other jewelry worn by Liz Taylor and Princess Diana are also on view at the exhibition.

Vision & Virtuosity tells the extraordinary story of one of the world’s oldest exceptional jewelers, a story of nearly 200 years of pioneering creativity, legendary craftsmanship and the acquisition of the most remarkable diamonds and stones. This exhibition perfectly showcases our long-standing reputation for combining tradition and modernity. We are delighted to share with London the world of Tiffany & Co. and our unique style of fine jewelry,” said Anthony Ledru.

The Saatchi Gallery will host Vision & Virtuosity from today until August 19, 2022. Tickets are free and can be picked up on the Tiffany & Co. exhibition app.
