The Esclans domain joins the portfolio of Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s Wines & Spirits division, which in 2017 generated a turnover of 5 billion euros.

Indeed, the group has just recently acquired 55% in Château d’Esclans – located in the Var, in France – which is known for its vintage Whispering Angel.
It should be known that the shares of the estate were shared between the two owners, Sacha Lichine (50%) and Hervé Vinciguerra (50%), and that the group now owns all the shares of Hervé Vinciguerra as well as 5% of the shares of Sacha Lichine.
The castle is spread over an area of 260 hectares of which 44 are reserved for the production of the vintage. This makes it possible to produce and distribute 10 million bottles in the year in a hundred countries including the United States, United Kingdom or France.
After Château du Galoupet, Château d’Esclans is Mr. Arnault’s second purchase in rosé wine this year. Last May, he acquired a vineyard located in La-Londe-Les-Maures also in the Var. The estate is a little smaller than the Esclans.
Indeed, it measures 160 hectares including 72 of vines. It has an annual production of about 450 000 bottles of rosé and brings in turnover 2.5 million euros.
