The membership of the French Federation of Multiservice Shoemaking (FFCM) to the National Leather Council (CNC) has just been concluded because of “their common global and environmental objectives and stakes”.
The Conseil National du Cuir (CNC) is an interprofessional organization of leather producers and users, but also of all those who contribute to the production, use or distribution of leather.
Constituted in the form of a confederation, the CNC is a body that brings together professional federations or unions from the breeding to the distribution of finished products, while passing through the industrial sector. Its vocation is to animate the entire French leather industry.
Frank Boehly, President of the Conseil National du Cuir, commented: “The French leather industry is delighted to welcome the French federation of multi-service shoe repairers into its ranks. We will gain visibility and strike force with decision-makers and public authorities to make our common voice heard and enhance the value of our industry. With this new membership, we are delighted with the diversity of the French Leather Industry, representing all the professions that work with this fine material. »
The FFCM represents 3,400 companies, with an estimated turnover of 1.4 million euros and generating some 2,600 jobs. The Filière Française du Cuir now includes 21 professional federations, 12,800 companies and 132,600 employees for a turnover of more than 25 billion euros.
