The International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories in Hyères, in the Villa Noailles, will take place from October 15 to 18. Fashion shows, exhibitions and creation workshops will be proposed during 4 days.

It is one of the oldest fashion festivals for young designers, the Hyères International Fashion Festival has been supporting young professionals in the industry since 1986.

The festival has evolved over the years, with the creation in 1997 of a photography competition rewarding beginning artists, as well as a fashion accessories competition in 2017. These three competitions aim to reveal emerging talents through exhibitions and fashion shows.

Its 35th edition will take place from October 15 to 18, 2020 at the Villa Noailles, located in the heights of Hyères.

To ensure that the public can enjoy the event despite the health crisis, the Villa Noailles will broadcast live on its social networks all the fashion shows on October 16 and the fashion accessory competition on October 17. A giant screen will also provide live coverage of these two evenings at Place Clémenceau in Hyères.

The finalists of the competitions will compete to win one of three prizes, each with a 20,000 euro purse: the Grand Prize of the Première Vision jury, the Chloé Prize and the 19M des métiers d’arts de Chanel.

The president of the festival, who is also a guest of honor, Jonathan Anderson, is one of the most influential creators of his generation. Creator of the JW Anderson label, he is also Creative Director of the Spanish luxury brand Loewe.

To judge the talent of the candidates, Jonathan Anderson will be surrounded by a dozen members including: actor Arnaud Valois, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Homme International Olivier Lalanne, photographer Tyler Mitchell, and model Kaia Gerber.

In addition to the visibility granted by the Hyères International Fashion Festival, being awarded one of these prizes is the assurance for candidates to be able to develop a creative project afterwards.

Creative workshops, fashion shows, signing sessions, and a screening of the film Pierre Cardin are on the program. The exhibitions will be on view until November 29th.

The 10 finalists to present their creations during the fashion competition on Friday, October 16th are :

  • Aline Boubert
  • Xavier Brisoux
  • Emma Bruschi
  • Katarzyna Cichy
  • Timour Desdemoustier
  • Andrea Grossi
  • Marvin M’Toumo
  • Maximilian Rittler
