Sephora is returning to the UK, online and soon in physical stores, 17 years after it left.
The famous beauty and make-up retailer Sephora is finally making a comeback in the UK, after 17 years of absence and many rumors. In the 2000s, the LVMH-owned brand had about nine stores operating in the UK, which closed in 2005. It is currently present in countless cities around the world.
That changed about a year ago, when Sephora bought online beauty company FeelUnique. In an interview with Glamour, the company confirmed its arrival in the U.K., starting with a website and an app, which is scheduled to launch on October 17. The major retailer is also said to have plans for physical expansion, with rumors already circulating that it will open its first physical store in the spring of 2023, in London.
Rebranded as “Sephora,” FeelUnique, has an Irish version of the site, which will likely also switch to the LVMH brand. And a physical store could also open in the Irish capital.
