Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Roger Dubuis unveil an exceptional supercar and a timepiece inspired by their high-flying partnership.
True to its motto “dare to be rare“, the Manufacture Roger Dubuis adopts a vision of the world based on a philosophy of excess.
The brand proves it once again with this automotive partnership.
Excess taken as the norm
Thanks to the support of a Manufacture that has been integrated since its inception, Roger Dubuis brilliantly combines technical expertise and unbridled creativity.
Inspired by visionary engineers and designed by incredible watchmakers, the timepieces resulting from this sometimes diabolical duality are indisputably proof that Roger Dubuis embodies the most innovative approach to Hyper Horlogerie.
Synonymous with strong sensations and exceptional power, the Excalibur Aventador S was the first horological expression of the explosive partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
The Manufacture is therefore preparing to unveil a new black and red version of its exclusive skeleton calibre watch.
Of course, this new version does not come alone…
A new self-winding adventure
Recently revisited, the Lamborghini SCV12 is the first limited edition of the V12-powered supercar reserved for the track, specially designed for Super Trofeo and the most powerful ever created by Lamborghini.
It can exceed 830hp thanks to high-speed aerodynamic supercharging, and has a higher downforce than a GT3 car as well as outstanding aerodynamics.
To create the new Excalibur Essenza SCV12, Roger Dubuis has evolved its Duotor calibre, specially developed by the Manufacture, refining it in such a way as to improve its performance, while harmonising the graphic codes of the timepiece with those of the racing car.
Thus, stripped of its upper bridge and equipped with a skeletonised flying tourbillon imitating the hubcap of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, the barrel can be admired from above as if through the transparent roof of a supercar.
The stuff of dreams
The Excalibur Aventador S also has many highly recognizable details directly inspired by its motorized alter ego, as well as two 45-degree inclined spiral pendulums, anti-climbing bars, a power reserve with sports codes and an Alcantara bracelet.
As at Lamborghini, renowned for its famous “Ad personam” personalisation programme, Roger Dubuis fans will benefit from the same level of service thanks to the exclusive “Rarities” programme offered by the Geneva-based Manufacture.
This concept gives the term “made-to-measure” a whole new dimension in terms of personalisation.
Indeed, it will allow each of the lucky owners to co-create and own a truly unique version of the Excalibur Essenza SCV12.
