The famous Parisian brasserie reopened its doors with much ceremony on Monday, June 15, 2020. The legendary Fouquet’s Paris has indeed used the long period of closure to plan a strong comeback and to expand its offer with a new menu and a new take-away service. Enough to restart the summer season in style.
The most famous brasserie on the Champs-Elysées, if not in Paris, reopened with great fanfare after the President of the Republic announced the previous evening that he would reopen cafés and restaurants in Île-de-France, which had become a “green zone”.
A new summer menu
To mark the reopening, three-starred French chef Pierre Gagnaire has designed a new menu to celebrate the 2020 summer season.
On the menu of this fresh and gourmet menu for the summer: Iberian ham, artichoke heart with vinaigrette, Comté cheese shavings, pan-fried squid with fine herbs, aubergine with black olives, grilled salmon steak, duxelle of button mushrooms with sorrel, farmhouse poultry supreme with saté, cream of corn, veal quasi-flavoured with oregano and its juice like an osso-buco.
The chef has also made sure to integrate some of the greatest classics of the Parisian House, including Burgundy snails in garlic butter and classic beef tartar.
It will also be possible to taste a selection of desserts from Chef Pâtissier Nicolas Paciello such as a peach melba or a perfect cherry amarena ice-cream.
A new take-away service
From Monday, June 22nd, Fouquet’s Paris will offer a new take-away sales service.
With friends at home or at the office with colleagues, it will be possible to get a selection of dishes signed by Chef Pierre Gagnaire delivered every day between 12:00 and 14:00 and 19:00 and 22:00.
On the takeaway menu, you’ll find the ballotine of duck foie gras, haddock and smoked salmon, grilled prawns, Fouquet’s cheeseburger, poultry supreme and desserts signed by Pastry Chef Nicolas Paciello.
This offer will be structured around three very attractive formulas: 45€ for the starter of the day and the main course of the day, 39€ for the main course of the day and the dessert and 55€ for the starter of the day, the main course of the day and the dessert.
This take-away sales service will be operated by Deliveroo and will be carried out in the greatest respect of the health rules in force from the time of manufacture to delivery.
Strengthened health and safety measures
“The priority of the Barrière Group and Fouquet’s Paris, since the beginning of the Covid-19 situation, remains unchanged: to protect its employees and customers, by respecting all the measures issued by the Government.” the restaurant said in a press release.
Among the various measures taken by Fouquet’s Paris, we find the physical distance between each customer and employee, the reorganization of spaces with signs on the floor and 1 meter spacing between each customer who is not part of the same table, the use of masks for customers who move around the restaurant and for all employees in service, the provision of hydro-alcoholic gels and disinfectant wipes in the reception areas, the cleaning of all tables and chairs/bench seats with products meeting the virucidal standard, but also reinforced digitalisation throughout the customer area to limit contact.
The brasserie has even decided to appoint Jérome Legendre as a health referent within the establishment to ensure that these health rules are respected.
With these new standards but also thanks to a diversified catering offer and renewed services, Fouquet’s Paris, listed as a Historic Monument, hopes to regain its status as a mythical Parisian table.
