Pierre-Yves Roussel becomes Tory Burch’s new CEO
Pierre-Yves Roussel recently became CEO of the american brand Tory Burch. He was formerly chairman and executif chief of LVMH Fashion group. Pierre-Yves Roussel is also the brand founder’s husband.
Tory Burch, who created the brand in 2004, is no longer the CEO of the brand but still remains the artistic director. Pierre-Yves Roussel will take office at the beginning of 2019. The arrival of a new chairman will enable Burck to focuse on products and customer service.
The company, which has a 1 billion $ turnover, operates 250 stores worldwide, including 4 dedicated to sport.
Waldorf Astoria opens its first hotel in Atlanta
The Hilton Worldwide Group recently announced that the formerly Mandarin Oriental in Antlanta became Waldorf Astoria Buckhead.
Xenia Hotels x Resorts is the new owner of the hotel, after acquiring it for 60.5million$. The new institution has 127 rooms, 10 suites, a spa and meeting place. It also proposes 47 private residences.
Waldorf owns 31 properties over the world, from Beverly Hill to Bangkok.
Instagram Shopping : 3 new features
Instagram revealed new ways of advertising. The objective is to reinforce their relation with retailers to increase their sales on one hand and their advertising incomes on the other hand.
First, Shopping In-Video, enables to showcase products in a video. Every time a product will appear in a video, a Shopping icon will blow up so the user can see the product in detail and check out the brand’s website.
Secondly, users will now be able to record products they like in the Collection Shopping tool. All their products will be kept in a tab, like a wishing list.
Finally, the last tool is adressed to advertisers. Companies can collect all the products posted on their instagram page with the Boutique tool. This tool will look like a mini e-commerce website that features the name, the price and the instagram post related to the product.
Camille Cottin appears in Chanel last short movies
Known for her show « Connasse » and the TV serie « Dix pour Cent », the famous french actress Camille Cottin appears in Chanel new advertising.
The brand decided to produce their iconic watch « J12 », in two short movies, for Christmas. Entitled « Follow me », the two ads will be launch on December 15,2018.
