Luxury tequila brand Patrón, the global leader in the super premium market, has unveiled their third remarkable collaboration with renowned French crystal maker Lalique: Patrón en Lalique: Serie 3.

After the success of their first collaborative tequila in 2015, followed by the 2017 tequila, which seduced with its Art Nouveau-style crystal decanter made in homage to French master René Lalique, Patrón and Lalique repeat five years later with their Series 3.

Produced in the Jalisco region of Mexico, master distiller David Rodriguez and his team designed a blend of fourteen extra añejo tequilas for this exceptional beverage that is so rare it cannot be reproduced. Aged for up to 8 years each in French and American oak barrels and hand-picked, the aromas of dried fruit, sherry wine and intense wood are enhanced by notes of spice.

Our family of talented artisans is constantly experimenting to create bold innovations that remain true to PATRÓN’s commitment to artisanal perfection. We explored many combinations of extra añejo tequilas before landing on the liquid excellence that can be found in Patrón en Lalique: Serie 3,” said David Rodriguez, master distiller at Patrón.

To preserve this unique aroma, the tequila is encased in a handcrafted and individually numbered crystal case at Lalique’s workshops in Wingen-sur-Moder, Alsace. Several master glassmakers, including Marc Larminaux, Lalique’s artistic and creative director, have combined their strengths to create this unique bottle, reflecting the excellence of the French crystal maker’s know-how. Its look is inspired by the blue agave, the plant from which this Mexican brandy originates.

With this serie, we’ve pushed the boundaries of art even further with our decanter design that celebrates the natural, raw materials that go into every drop of PATRÓN Tequila. Like the masters of Patrón, we at Lalique take pride in achieving excellence in everything we do,” said Silvio Denz, President, and CEO of Lalique.
