Patou invests the Ile de la Cité in Paris for its first ever fashion show

The fashion house Patou unveiled its first ever runway show at its Parisian ateliers yesterday, Sunday, July 3, on the eve of Paris Fashion Week Haute-Couture.

Guillaume Henry, considered to be the one who woke up the French label from its slumber in 2018, piloted this unprecedented event which took place on Quai du Marché-Neuf, in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, in the Patou premises.

Through this Spring-Summer 2023 fashion show and the 31 models who followed one another, the French designer wanted to pay tribute to women and free femininity. Pop silhouettes colored with fuchsia pink, electric blue, bright orange, or pastel yellow impressed the guests present at this event.

More “classic” outfits in sober tones – beige, black, white – but meticulously accessorized with gold jewelry and logo accessories were also part of the show. With this collection, Guillaume Henry deliberately wanted to play with volumes and materials, reflecting the creativity with which he reinvents Patou.

Standing out from the rest of the 30 other looks, the Italian American actress and model Julia Fox caused a sensation by closing this show in apotheosis. Dressed in an orange and blue dress with a psychedelic print, she appeared confident, free, and proud, then escaped with a kiss to the guests.

This subtle but striking appearance confirms her fashion ascension of the last few months – after having participated in the LaQuan Smith show in February 2022 – and ensures a nice visibility to the first Patou show.

The French house in the fold of LVMH since 2017, with this very first fashion show, comes to affirm its place within the very private fashion industry. Barely three years after Guillaume Henry took over as creative director and skillfully took the reins of the brand, Patou is already growing rapidly and the label is now distributed in 130 boutiques and online stores.
