The Paris Women’s Fashion Week is launched, and it is nearly 93 shows that the fashion capital will host to present their fall-winter 2021-2022 collection, from March 1 to 10. A look back at the first shows of this almost exclusively digital fashion week.
Women’s Fashion Week, which will present the fall-winter 2021-2022 collections, started on Monday, March 1st in Paris and will end on March 10th. This fashion week will last one day longer than usual, and for good reason: the luxury giant Louis Vuitton needs one more day to be able to the runway.
While Louis Vuitton was scheduled to run on March 9, the house has indicated that it will need one more day to prepare. The Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion accepted this request and Louis Vuitton will present its new collection on March 10.
Koché
Yesterday, it was the house of Koché that paraded under the watchful eye of its designer Christelle Koché, for a fashion show entitled “Birds of Paradise“. On the program: Koché revisits the evening wardrobe by adding streetwear notes while continuing to place craftsmanship at the heart of the collection.
On the runway, haute couture-style baggies, satin shorts, hoodies with bare shoulders and a t-shirt adorned with crystals follow one another. Christelle Koché, founder of the Koché brand and Artistic Director of Maison Lemarié, created an ambitious and successful marriage between craftsmanship and streetwear fashion.
Chloé
The house of Chloé was there at the beginning of the afternoon, for a digital edition. For the first collection of the recently appointed artistic director Gabriela Hearst, the house of Chloé delivers a collection inspired by the ranch style, an inspiration dear to the newcomer. Parading through the deserted streets of Paris, the fashion show opens with a model wearing an amazing poncho comforter, coming out of the Parisian Lipp brewery.
Between cowboy boots, long sweater dresses, suede jackets and fringe bags, the western style is making a comeback. With its colors straight from the Wild West, the Chloé collection brings a wild west wind to the Parisian capital.
“Chloé – a word that means ‘fulfillment’ in Greek – does so with a vision of the future involving changes that are deeply personal to Gabi,” says the brand. “The Fall-Winter 21 collection is therefore inspired by sustainability and commitment to the common good. A new wardrobe has been created, subtle in its design but bold in its action“.
Acne Studios
Acne Studios then presented its Fall-Winter 2021-2022 women’s collection in a grunge setting, looking like a renovation site. Under the flickering lights, soft colors and printed patterns lined the collection. Flower and leopard patterns follow wide frames and faux fur boots, in an underground atmosphere punctuated by the hypnotic music of AD 93.
According to the house, the fashion show “represents a visual evolution from a dream landscape to a waking reality. A collection realized in an isolated way, inspired by what happens when we emerge and enter the world“.
