The watchmaking house Panerai and the specialist in second-hand watches WatchFinder & Co are collaborating on an exchange service for luxury watches.

The luxury watchmaker Panerai announced in a press release on Thursday, December 10 its collaboration with the reference for used watches, WatchFinder & Co, on a trade-in/exchange service for luxury watches. Panerai thus follows in the footsteps of many luxury watchmakers, such as Vacheron Constantin, which has already been offering this type of service to second-hand watch enthusiasts for several years.

Through this collaboration, Panerai is committed to « better explore the opportunities offered by the second-hand market, protect the brand’s heritage, and extend the life of its most iconic pieces ».

WatchFinder & Co, founded in 2002 in the United Kingdom, has developed rapidly and has become one of the world leaders in second-hand watchmaking in almost 20 years. The brand has belonged to the Richemont group since 2018, which also owns Panerai.

Watchfinder offers more than 4,000 models from more than 70 luxury watch brands, all available online or through its physical sales network, with its boutiques and showrooms located in all four corners of the world. WatchFinder is approved by more than 19 leading watchmakers, including Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Panerai.

The luxury watch exchange and trade-in service offered by Panerai and WatchFinder & Co. cover all Panerai boutiques in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Hong Kong. The exchange applies to all new Panerai watches from the Luminor, Luminor Due, Radiomir, and Submersible collections. A very wide range of brands of used watches can be exchanged for these models, including brands such as Cartier, Patek Philippe, and Rolex.

Once the watches have been exchanged, WatchFinder & Co‘s watch experts work to restore the watch to its optimum appearance and performance, before adding it to the catalog of more than 4,000 luxury watches available for sale on the site and in Watchfinder stores, and the watch will be sold with a one-year Watchfinder warranty.

A list of boutiques and partner brands is available on the WatchFinder & Co. online site.
