As part of the succession of its CEO, Jean-Paul Agon due to his age, L’Oréal has appointed Nicolas Hieronimus as Chief Executive Officer.
In order to respect its statutes, the world’s leading cosmetics company has therefore decided to separate the functions of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In this way, Jean-Paul Agon retains his position as Chairman since there is no age limit for this position, unlike that of Chief Executive Officer (65 years old).
Aged 56, Nicolas Hieronimus joined L’Oréal 33 years ago and has spent his entire career with the group in several countries and divisions. He has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of L’Oréal, in charge of the Divisions, since 2017.
