New vehicle delivery record for Tesla

Tesla said it delivered a record number of electric cars in the third quarter, beating Wall Street estimations.

Between July and September 2021, Tesla’s deliveries increased by 20% compared to the second quarter, marking the 6th consecutive quarter-on-quarter increase.

Despite chip supply issues, the company managed to deliver as many as 241,300 vehicles, up 73% year-over-year klicken sie für mehr.

The wave of end-of-quarter deliveries is exceptionally high this time,” said Elon Musk, Tesla’s chairman and CEO.

The Model 3 and Y are the most successful. Between July and September, 232,025 units were delivered, 16% more than in the previous quarter.

The arrival of the new version of the Model S has boosted results: 9,000 deliveries compared to 2,000 in the previous quarter for the Model S and Model X.

The increase in deliveries was driven by Chinese demand. In August, the Tesla factory in Shanghai exported more than two-thirds of its vehicles to Europe and Asian countries.

This increase contrasts with its competitors, as General Motors said on Friday that its sales fell by a third in the third quarter due to a shortage of electronic chips. Nissan and Honda are also down 10% and 11% respectively.
