The major automotive event of the Munich Motor Show will start this Tuesday in the Bavarian capital and not as in previous years in the city of Frankfurt. This is a highlight for the automotive sector, as it is the first European automotive event to take place since the global pandemic.

The Munich Motor Show is a major German car show organized by the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA). This event is usually held every two years, and this year it is taking place in Munich for the first time.

The electric car will once again be the star of the show, especially since the announcement of the end of the combustion engine in Europe, from the year 2035.

Among the car manufacturers present for this 2021 edition are Audi, BMW, Dacia, Mercedes, Hyundai, Porsche, Renault, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Some brands present their new products for the occasion like BMW, which will unveil the new i4 and 2 series coupe. Mercedes will exhibit the AMG One or the C-Class All-Terrain while Renault will present the coveted Megane E-TECH 100% electric, as it will be the first Renault vehicle to carry the new logo. Other brands will present concept cars like the German brands Audi and Porsche.

Mercedes revealed in the framework of the show, its new electric SUV model : the Mercedes-Maybach EQS. This concept plays on all the luxury aspects of this vehicle: its interior is inspired by the S-Class.
