While the Covid-19 pandemic is experiencing a second wave, ISG Luxury Management is now organizing the Rendez-Vous du Luxe, fully accessible online. Hosted by the author and journalist Mathieu Alterman, this series of exceptional webinars, broadcast live each week, is an opportunity to learn about the journeys of inspiring personalities in the luxury sector, whether in Haute Couture, gastronomy, hospitality or culture.
The webinar on Monday, November 23, 2020 will be an opportunity to follow an interview with fashion designer Chantal Thomass. Hosted by the founder and director of Luxus + magazine, Claire Domergue, this Rendez-Vous du Luxe brings light on the details of the inspiring career of Chantal Thomass, who is now an eminent figure in the world of fashion and luxury.
In 1967, at only 20 years old, Chantal Thomass launched her first ready-to-wear brand, Ter et Bantine. Recognized for the originality of her creations, worn in particular by Brigitte Bardot, Chantal Thomass founded her own company in 1975 and gave a show the following year. Women paraded there in lingerie, which was a great first at the dawn of the 1980s. At that time, Chantal Thomass’ brand collaborated with Moncler, then was acquired by the Japanese group World. Although the company was liquidated in 1996, Chantal Thomass recovered her brand which joined the Sara Lee group, then owner of the Dim brand. The latter separated from Chantal Thomass in 2011 and sold the title to the Chantelle group.
This impressive career will be reported on November 23, 2020, at 5.15 p.m. As a result, a series of crusty anecdotes will be presented.
Les Rendez-Vous du Luxe will continue until the end of the year, welcoming personalities such as the 2010 former Miss France Malika Menard, who is now a journalist and an influencer. Malika Menard will be welcomed on November 18, 2020 by the ISG. The journalist Mathieu Alterman will also meet the Meilleur Ouvrier de France Nicolas Cloiseau, currently Chef and Creative Director of the Maison du Chocolat in Paris, as well as Anne-Laure Beatix, the General Administrator of the Louvre Museum.
All of these meetings will be available online, on ISG Luxury Management’s Youtube channel and Facebook page.
