The Ruinart house is embarking on an anti-waste fight by collaborating with the start up Too Good To Go and making baskets containing unsold items from the brunches organized by the French House every weekend available to the inhabitants of the city of Reims at very affordable prices.

The Too Good to Go application is attracting more and more retailers who want to take advantage of these services and reduce their ecological impact. In terms of numbers, more than 15,000 merchants are already using this application. Hotels, cafés, supermarkets, or restaurants, whatever their sector, the retailers all have the same objective: to reduce their waste as much as possible.

The French population was immediately won over by the zero waste concept promoted by the start-up created in 2016. More than 7 million consumers already use it daily. The objective isto recover at very attractive prices the daily unsold items from the different brands. In total since the launch of the application, nearly 18 million meals have been saved.

The Ruinart House, a specialist and one of the oldest champagne Houses of the 18th century, is located in Reims where it organizes its traditional brunch every weekend to be shared with friends or family. Led by the House chef Valérie RADOU, this brunch is mainly composed of local specialties and all kinds of dishes. In addition, the House offers its visitors two glasses of its own vintages: Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Ruinart Rosé de la Maison.

At the price of 6.99€, this is the cost to which the different baskets of the house Ruinart will return on the application, ten times less than the price to reserve a table on the spot, at the price of 70€. The House of Ruinart has been offering these unsold baskets since the beginning of summer on August 1, 2020 and is extending its offer until Saturday, October 31, 2020.

More precisely, this basket will include pastries, pies, delicatessen, pie and cheese from the Champagne-Ardenne region. This is a success for the Ruinart house which has managed to sell no less than 53 baskets since the beginning of this collaboration.
