Macallan Field and Bentley join forces to achieve carbon neutrality

The latest Bentley hybrid has been launched at the Macallan Estate in Speyside. On this occasion, the Macallan whisky maker and luxury car brand Bentley have announced their partnership to become more environmentally friendly.

Luxury car manufacturer Bentley and whisky brand Macallan are joining forces to achieve carbon neutrality, sourcing from local suppliers and using sustainable materials. The partnership will be based on the Bentley 100 sustainability strategy.

The Macallan estate aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. “Macallan and Bentley Motors each have a rich heritage and shared values of mastery, craftsmanship, creativity and innovation,” said Igor Boyadjian, chief executive officer of Macallan.

We will generate new and contemporary thinking around our commitment to consumers, our exceptional experiences and ultimately our products. Our commitment to a more sustainable future will be a key component of this partnership. The breathtaking natural landscape of the Macallan Estate provides the perfect platform for us to embark on this exciting and extraordinary journey together,” he adds.

We will learn from each other in the months and years ahead to advance our programs together, and along the way we will work on some truly extraordinary experiences, projects and products,” said Adrian Hallmark, Bentley’s chief executive officer.

Our brands share the same philosophy: a passion for exceptional quality, a respect for craftsmanship and, now, a commitment to achieving true first-class sustainability. I look forward to this adventure together,” concludes Adrian Hallmark.

Bentley Motors: in the wave of the partnership

Bentley Motors unveiled its latest model, the Flying Spur Hybrid, at the Macallan Estate on Scotland’s Speyside. The vehicle is part of the brand’s sustainable strategy, Bentley 100, presented by the luxury group last November.

With its 2.9-liter V6 gasoline engine, coupled with an electric motor capable of delivering 536 hp and 750 Nm of torque, Bentley’s new hybrid car promises to quickly make its mark on the automotive market.

Fast, the Flying Spur Hybrid could, according to Bentley, go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds. It has a reasonable weight, justified by a successful weight distribution. It is the brand’s most economical car, with 700 km available on a full tank. The reduction of CO2 emissions and lower fuel consumption are still pending certification.

In electric mode, Bentley’s Flying Spur Hybrid is expected to reach 40km of range. In terms of design, the new vehicle is based on the third-generation Flying Spur, with slight changes to the interior related to battery optimization and range. Orders will open this summer, and the car will be on the road by the end of the year.
