LVMH Prize 2022 : applications open for the prize dedicated to young talent

For the 9th consecutive year, the LVMH Prize is opening nominations for its prize for talented young designers: the LVMH Prize 2022.

Since yesterday, talented young designers can apply and try to win this 9th edition of the LVMH Prize competition, whose semi-final will take place in March 2022.

Created in 2013, the LVMH Prize rewards young fashion designers from around the world, aged between 18 and 40, who have designed at least two ready-to-wear collections for women, men or unisex. Each year, two candidates are awarded the LVMH Young Fashion Creators Prize and a special mention, the Karl Lagerfeld Prize. These awards give the winners the chance to receive an endowment and a year’s mentoring from LVMH teams. This year, the prize will also be awarded to three graduates who will be invited to join the creative studios of the group’s houses for a year.

The winner of the LVMH Young Fashion Creators Award receives a 300,000 euros prize and personalized mentoring by LVMH teams, who support the winners in a number of areas such as sustainable development, communications, intellectual property and the legal aspects of a business, as well as marketing, manufacturing and financial management of a brand. The winner of the Karl Lagerfeld Prize receives an endowment of 150,000 euros and a year of mentoring by LVMH teams.

For this edition, LVMH is once again taking a stand in favor of the development and renewal of talent, which is essential to the fashion ecosystem. The semi-final, which will take place on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, will be an opportunity for the prize experts and the public to discover the designers vying to succeed the Albanian Nensi Dojaka, the winner in 2021.
