For the 5th edition of its LVMH Innovation Award, competition, the world’s leading luxury goods company has decided to challenge start-ups from all over the world to join its 75 Houses to build the future of the customer experience, by applying before 12 March 2021.

As a reminder, LVMH created this competition in 2017 in order to offer a French or international start-up the chance to distinguish itself in taking the initiative of excellence, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship at the Viva Technology trade fair on 18 June.

This year’s theme is simple and couldn’t be more timely: building the future of the customer experience. Given the health situation, which has created numerous obligations in terms of communication and digital marketing, this is a real challenge for luxury companies. And for LVMH in particular, the crisis is a significant opportunity to accelerate change and innovation across different sectors.

The French group is therefore expecting to gather as of today the innovative solutions that will be proposed and that will make it possible to offer a remarkable experience at each stage of the customer journey (from omnichannel to retail, from media to brand awareness, via data and artificial intelligence, operations and manufacturing excellence or even experience and durability).

Applications will be examined very carefully and the most promising solutions will be chosen as finalists. In May, LVMH will announce the selection of the finalists, which will be made by a jury of the group’s recognised digital experts.

“Any company less than 5 years old, with a value of less than 100 million dollars, with less than 50 employees and whose activity is related to the issues of the LVMH group and its Houses can apply for the LVMH Innovation Award”.

Last year, more than 1,200 startups from all over the world came forward and the 30 finalists had to present their project online on the group’s platforms. Some of these startups are even now incubated at the LVMH Startup House, the Group’s incubator at Station F, an opportunity offered not only to the winner but also to the selected startups.

The winner will have the chance to benefit from the support and advice of the teams in charge of investments within the LVMH group and the development of a partnership with LVMH and its Houses.

Since its creation, the LVMH Innovation Award has rewarded start-ups Heuritech (deep learning), Oyst ( e-commerce solution), VeChain (block chain), Kronos Care (post-purchase solution) and 3D Look (trial experience).
