On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, March 8, LVMH is launching a new initiative to advance Gender Equity within the group.
EllesVMH, LVMH’s gender equity program, is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and its results are significant : within LVMH, the number of women in key positions has risen from 23% in 2007 to 44% today, and 17 women head up Group companies.
The diversity of the Group’s talents is its strength, and this campaign to promote Gender Equity will take place on the new LVMH internal digital platform, NEXT, which connects all employees, from all the Houses and all the businesses. From March 8 to April 15, the Group’s employees are invited to exchange, debate and share ideas and best practices concerning Gender Equity. They will also be able to see all the EllesVMH initiatives in the Inclusion Index, an observatory and gas pedal of Diversity and Inclusion within the group, and vote for their favorite actions.
This campaign will be followed by feedback sessions to explore the proposed solutions, and then by consultation workshops to define how to collectively address these issues internally. The EllesVMH action plan will be shared by next year. To complement this approach and contribute to a positive impact on society outside the workplace, LVMH has decided to enter into a long-term partnership in France with Make.org, Europe’s leading citizen engagement and collaboration platform. Its objective: to create an impact around major causes to positively transform society by connecting citizens’ ideas to a network of associations and institutional players. The Make.org campaign will last 3 years and will bring civil society together to find new solutions for greater equity.
