[Luxus+ Magazine] Roku Kyoto, the hotel that reinvents the codes of luxury

Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, is home to the Roku luxury hotel. Part of LXR Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of the Hilton Group, this new hotel is the perfect demonstration of Japanese luxury.

 

For its first Asian home, LXR Hotels & Resorts is banking on more than just upscale service. Located in the foothills of Takagamine Sanzan, north of Kyoto, the hotel is close to the sights but far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is 2 hours from Kansai Airport and 1 hour from Itami Airport.

 

The hotel offers 114 rooms and suites, all designed with Japanese minimalism in mind. Each room features low-profile wooden furniture, slatted room dividers and a colour palette of neutral tones. It’s a combination of the traditional, quiet Japan of yesteryear and the modern Japan of all these facilities.
