The Swiss watchmaking company Blancpain, true to the tradition of the house, presents its special Valentine’s Day 2021 model.
Every year since 2001, as Valentine’s Day approaches, the Swiss watchmaker Blancpain has unveiled a new model of women’s watch specially designed for the celebration of love. For its 21st edition, the 28-piece Villeret Women Date model celebrates romance and is dressed in red gold and diamonds. Its 33 mm case covers an automatic mechanical movement.
The model unveiled for Valentine’s Day 2021 features a luxurious white mother-of-pearl dial, a frequent composition for women’s watches. For the occasion, the second hand is adorned with a small Cupid’s red heart.
The alligator strap features the same red vermeil as the heart on the second hand. The refinement of this model is reflected in the gracefully open-worked hour and minute hands. The bezel is inlaid with diamonds, echoing the hour markers on the dial.
The red gold case is water-resistant to 3 meters, and underneath the case is the 210-component Blancpain mechanical caliber 1151, revised from the 1150 caliber. The model has a silicon balance-spring and a convenient four-day power reserve.
Finally, this Valentine’s Day exclusive features a date display at 3 o’clock, visible through the sapphire case-back. The Villeret Women Date model is available on the Blancpain website for €20,960.
