Luxury: Prada chooses Andrea Guerra as new CEO

As expected, Prada has chosen to appoint former Luxottica CEO Andrea Guerra as its new CEO.

Andrea Guerra, 57, stepped down this year as CEO of LVMH’s hospitality business, having also headed Italian food specialist Eataly. Miuccia Prada, artistic director of Miu Miu and Prada and granddaughter of founder Mario Prada, will remain on the board.

At the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Patrizio Bertelli will be proposed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prada SpA and Paolo Zannoni as Executive Vice President and, at the same time, President of Prada Holding, the Italian fashion house said.

These changes clarify the succession at Prada, where Bertelli family descendant Lorenzo Bertelli has held high-level positions and currently serves as head of marketing. Patrizio Bertelli said last year that his son would succeed him within three years.
