Luxury E-commerce : Net-à-porter and Mr Porter join forces with Watches and Wonders

Net-à-porter and Mr. Porter, the properties of the Richemont group, are launching this September 28th an unexpected partnership with the main player in the luxury watchmaking industry, Watches and Wonders, ex-SIHH. A campaign and a strategic partnership for the two e-commerce sites, which now present a new shopping destination for fans of luxury watchmaking.

 

The three brands are already ready to offer a completely renovated and innovative online platform. Net-à-porter and Mr. Porter, as preferred retailers, will offer a brand new editorial line on their site, with for the first time no less than 14 famous watchmaking houses available, which will present their products and the launch of the new brands in detail. The two retailers’ primary goal is to enrich the shopping experience of their new customers with innovative customer service and to make their site easier to navigate. A new guide will also be available, based on current trends, new and improved sizes and new materials.

 

Various exclusive events are expected to appeal to this new clientele, from virtual and physical activities to social network animations and exclusive meetings, organized by the editors of Net-à-porter and Mr Porter, Sarah Bailey, as well as Mr Porter’s watch editor, Chris Hall.

 

The arrival of Watches & Wonders on Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter marks a turning point (in the luxury sector)“, the two sites said in a statement Monday. They added: “This new initiative marks the beginning of a year-long program and offers a unique tripartite approach in the rapidly evolving landscape of luxury watchmaking“.

 

Net-à-porter will present the latest creations from Cartier, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, and Mr Porter, as well as those from Baume & Mercier, Bovet, Girard-Perregaux, HYT, Montblanc, Panerai, Roger Dubuis and Ulysse Nardin.
