Lucid, the Californian car manufacturer and direct competitor of Tesla, has opened a new dealership in Switzerland.
“We aim to create sustainable, uncompromising mobility in cars that are intuitive, liberating and designed for all the ways people get around“: Lucid or the new car that thinks, consumes and starts “green”.
The American company has just opened its first point of sale in Switzerland, located in Geneva, the city of a thousand possibilities. This is their second store in Europe, after the one in Munich, Germany, opened last May.
“The opening in Geneva was a natural consequence of the response from the Zurich audience,” said Zak Edson, vice president of sales at Lucid. “After that evening, we saw an increasing number of bookings in Switzerland.”

This second concession will speed up deliveries for Swiss customers, who should receive their new electric car by the end of 2022. Only a few more weeks or even days to wait, if the brand keeps its promises on the Old Continent.
This European division marks the beginning of a new era for Lucid. After Munich and Geneva, the company would like to establish itself in Belgium, Austria, Spain, Sweden, England and Monaco.
Ambitious and innovative when it comes to cars, the company is only offering its first model, the Lucid Air, for the moment. Its elegant and sober design is inspired by California. According to the company, this electric car offers the longest range and fastest charging in the world: “incredible power and an unparalleled range of up to 837 kilometers per charge“. This unique sedan is available for purchase at dealerships.
In the future, a second model, an electric SUV, will roll into Europe, but not until 2024. Orders will open between 2023 and 2024. The characteristics of this car, a direct competitor to the Tesla SUV, have not yet been revealed.
The group is also expanding in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, which remains its main shareholder. In this country, which has ordered more than 100,000 cars over 10 years, the construction of a Lucid factory is being considered.
