Louis Vuitton vacations at the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum

A pop-up, a beach in its own colors and the launch of a City Guide in its Louis Vuitton Summer Resorts series: Louis Vuitton takes up summer residence in Bodrum, on the Turkish Riviera. The Mandarin Oriental, a 5-star resort right in the center of town, boasts (among other things) a private beach.

True to its lifestyle and travel DNA, this summer the Maison au monogramme is offering residents of the Mandarin Oriental resort in Bodrum several ways to enter its world. The most obvious: shopping, with a pop-up store – its second in Bodrum – dedicated to its new LV By The Pool collection, presented in early June.

The collection is set inside the hotel, which has been refurbished for the purpose, using decorative elements – natural materials and refreshingly light tones – that make reference to local architecture and highlight the Louis Vuitton spirit. “The patterns created for the collection were inspired by the tiles used on the white wooden floor at the entrance to the store.

Shoppers can shop with complete peace of mind, with a wide choice of Louis Vuitton-branded products: men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, sunglasses and perfumes… The models presented play the casual, vacation card, like the LV By The Pool collection. An assortment of swimsuits, silk squares, beach towels, caftans, pareos and cushions.

But you’ll also find all the kit you need for a great summer: monogrammed hammock, folding chair and set of beach rackets…

Private beach in LV colors

Equipped (or not) with their total Louis Vuitton look, Mandarin Oriental residents can then head to the hotel’s private beach, the Blue Beach Club & Bar, revamped by the famous Maison, to take a dip and/or admire the bay’s blue waters, or contemplate the sunset. And all this while enjoying the volleyball nets or sophisticated monogrammed deckchairs, whether on the fine sandy beach or on an elegant light wood terrace…

Last but not least, Louis Vuitton has a third entrance (and exit…) for Bodrum Oriental holidaymakers, with the latest addition to its Summer Resorts Louis Vuitton City Guide series, dedicated to Bodrum.

Launched in the pop-up boutique, this is the thirtieth instalment in the series launched by Louis Vuitton over 20 years ago, in symbiosis with the trunk-maker’s DNA, which cultivates “the soul of travel”.

Written by freelance editors and guests, each guide presents the destination with a host of addresses, some of them world-class (large luxury hotels, great restaurants, antique emporiums) but also lesser-known, more typical addresses, charming hotels, local bistros and small boutiques…

Celebrity magnet

The Lvmh Group’s flagship House is sure to feel right at home in Bodrum. With its marina hosting the most spectacular yachts, its luxury hotels and its night-time entertainment, the famous Turkish luxury resort, located on the eponymous peninsula in south-west Turkey, is a veritable celebrity magnet…

Among its select visitors are Bill Gates, Kate Moss, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Margaret, Roman Abramovitch, Jade Jagger, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lindsay Lohan, Naomi Campbell and Saudi Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz…And even if they’re staying in their own yacht or expensively rented private villa, Mandarin Oriental residents may catch a glimpse of them in the Louis Vuitton pop-up store or on the streets of the luxury resort ?
