L’Oiseau Blanc, the French gourmet restaurant at the Peninsula hotel in Paris, is pleased to have been awarded its first star by the Michelin Guide.

The Michelin Guide unveiled its 2020 vintage on Monday. This famous gastronomic guide distinguishes 119 star restaurants in Paris. Thirteen of them are located in the 16th district which has a new star establishment. The Pergolèse loses its star, obtained in 2008. At its head for twelve years, the chef Stéphane Gaborieau, best worker in France. The legendary restaurant Paul Bocuse has lost its third star and now has 2.
Under its glass roof, the gourmet restaurant L’Oiseau blanc at the Peninsula hotel has just been awarded its first star. Its name evokes the mythical plane of the French Charles Nungesser and François Coli who disappeared in 1927 during an attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean by air. In addition, it is located on the sixth floor of the hotel and offers a panoramic view of the most famous places in the City of Lights. The latter has a roof that can be discovered in fine weather, making it one of the most elegant places in the capital.
The hotel’s general manager said “We are extremely honored to receive this prestigious award. It is the best recognition of the efforts and work of my teams. Thanks to their passion and their daily involvement, we have known meet the expectations and requirements of Michelin. I am very proud of them!
