The LVMH Group’s Parisian department store has created an exceptional fragrance space within its Espace Beauté. Maison de Parfums offers rare juices in bottles of extreme sophistication.
Two years ago, Maison de Parfums inaugurated Europe’s largest Espace Beauté in its 3,400 m2 basement.
La Samaritaine, the department store magnificently restored in its original Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles by its owner, the LVMH group, continues to set itself apart through the exceptional. It has just opened “Maison de Parfums“ in its Espace Beauté.
“A cocoon imagined as an ode to the unique and delicate savoir-faire of perfumery” announces the Parisian department store on its website. It is dedicated to niche fragrances that cannot be found elsewhere. To buy a product here, however, you have to be prepared to pay at least…3,000 euros. And even up to 300,000 euros for the most exclusive products!
“Maison de Parfums is a selection of unique olfactory creations, exceptional bottles and iconic names chosen with care. With its cutting-edge offer, this new showcase will enable you to discover new scents, meet the must-haves and find the perfume that’s right for you,” announces the department store on its website.
14 new fragrance houses
Customers can discover the most sophisticated scents from the great luxury houses (Bulgari, Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Tiffany, etc.). But also rarer ones. La Samaritaine welcomes 14 new Maisons, including Matière Première, Maison Crivelli, BDK, Amouage, Miller Harris and Les Eaux Primordiales. Atelier Materi and Headspace are also offered exclusively.
“Our store is located on Rue de Rivoli, where all the selective perfumery brands have stores, so we have to stand out. In the beauty area, our aim is to bring together an offer that will appeal to customers ranging from tourists, on the lookout for established brands, to millennials” , Aymeric Bourdoules, Beauty Buyer at DFS/Samaritaine, told the trade press. Among the new labels on offer, Matière Première, Maison Crivelli and Amouage target the Middle Eastern market.
Jewel bottles
Inside large glass cloches, a choice where the container (like these jewel bottles set with precious stones or Murano glass) competes with the content with rare fragrances.
When it comes to bottles, you can also have them engraved or choose a haute couture model, available in very limited editions from Chanel, Guerlain or Lalique. A bottle signed by Lalique costs 50,000 euros…
Finally, the “The Perfumist” application associated with the department stores’ also allows you to venture out, but not too far, by using a dedicated QR code to discover new suggestions based on your favourite perfume.
All in all, the Maison de Parfums de la Samaritaine has something to satisfy (almost) every olfactory fantasy…
