La Bouche Rouge, France’s first eco-responsible make-up company, announced on Wednesday that it had raised ten million euros from three partners : Mirabeau Asset Management, Chalhoub Group, a specialist in luxury goods in the Middle East, and the BPI.
This initiative is part of the international development strategy of the brand, which has already conquered the French and European markets. Founder and CEO of La Bouche Rouge, Nicolas Gerlier wants to expand the beauty range by continuing to innovate and invent as well as pushing the company further into digital.
“When I launched my first lipstick in 2017, it was already this new Blue Beauty model that I had in mind,” says Nicolas Gerlier.“A model that breaks completely with the existing cosmetics industry, an action in favour of 100% beauty without microplastics, without compromising aesthetics, responsibility and performance. ”, he adds.
Through this fundraising, the company specialising in eco-responsible make-up wishes to impose its conception of ethical and sustainable beauty on Europe and the world. Nicolas Gerlier’s ambition is to spread new requirements in terms of responsible beauty and to infuse new standards in this sector.
