In October 2022, the prestigious champagne house Krug will unveil its 170th grand cuvée in the form of a box set in collaboration with Devialet.
If champagne is often synonymous with parties, weddings or special occasions, the Krug house wants to democratize the moment and accompany it with music. The house has indeed multiplied the experiences around the world with its Krug Studio, linking music and champagne tasting.
Since its creation in 1843, the champagne house has wanted to create premium experiences and collaborations over the years to always surprise its customers. For example, its association with Riedel, the crystal glass manufacturer, or the possibility, since 2011, to scan each bottle with the Krug iD to learn more about each vintage.
This year, Krug goes even further and proposes, with the release of its 170th grand cuvée (the best champagne, unveiled every seven years in the cellars) to discover the delicacy and sophistication of its aromas in music. For its release, as soon as you buy a bottle of Krug Grand Cuvée 170th edition, you will be able to listen to eight minutes of 8D audio for a multi-sensory tasting, thanks to a code written on the bottle.

Convinced of the importance of hearing in tasting and awakening the senses, Krug oenologists and researchers from the Institute for Research and Coordination of Acoustics and Music have developed an oenological score over the course of eighteen months of work. To discover this musical creation and the new Krug 170th edition champagne, visit the Devialet studio, soon to be opened for the occasion, at the Samaritaine in Paris.
A box is also available with a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée 170th Edition and a pair of custom-made Devialet Gemini headphones, designed for a unique Krug x Music experience at home. Functional and lightweight, the case is designed to be reused and easily transported.
