Luxury hotels : Radisson Collection opens its first hotel in Bamako

The Radisson Hotel group inaugurates its first hotel in Bamako, in one of the most sought-after areas of the Malian capital.

Located about twenty minutes from Bamako’s Modibo Keita International Airport, in the ACI 2000 district, the latest hotel of the Radisson Hotel Group has opened its doors in the culturally rich metropolis, with its museums such as the National Museum and the Muso Kunda Museum.

We are delighted to open the doors of our first Radisson Collection hotel in Africa, in the heart of Bamako. Radisson Collection is characterized by a portfolio of unique luxury properties with distinct identities, customized design, and true authenticity, which is evident in the Radisson Collection Hotel, Bamako,” said Tim Cordon, Vice President of the Radisson Hotel Group for the Middle East and Africa region.

The luxurious five-star hotel has a total of 200 rooms with a breathtaking view of the Niger River and the mango hills, including 32 suites and 3 accessible rooms. The hotel also offers four exceptional restaurants and bars.

The City Grill features an à la carte multi-cuisine menu offering guests the opportunity to choose between European and West African flavors through interactive stations. To enjoy a snack or a coffee, the G&G Café boasts the perfect place to satisfy waking up and small appetites.

The Oasis Pool Bar, meanwhile, specializes in fruit juice refreshments and a well-stocked cocktail menu, as well as gourmet snacks to be enjoyed by the poolside. The Legends Sports Bar will seduce all sports event lovers, who will be able to comment on the games while enjoying a good glass of wine.

In addition to its delicious selection of bars and restaurants, the Radisson Collection hotel in Bamako also offers a swimming pool area and a 24-hour fitness center for all its guests. Reception rooms are available, as well as 11 meeting rooms, for more than 1,100 square meters of event space equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The hotel also has its own ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 people, ideal for galas, weddings, and large conferences.

My passionate team and I are honored to introduce this exceptional brand and hotel to our guests and to Africa. We bring the authenticity of Bamako to every guest, from our choice of meals and views to our hospitality,” says the Managing Director of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Bamako, Fleury Courtin.

Finally, the prestigious Radisson Collection Hotel in Bamako enjoys an ideal location, bordered by many of the city’s historic sites such as the Great Mosque of Bamako or the Independence Monument. Close to the Mali National Zoo and the Bamako National Park, business and leisure guests will find the perfect destination in the heart of Bamako.

Of course, in this difficult health context, the Radisson Hotel Group is committed to putting the health and safety of its guests at the forefront. To this end, last May the hotel group joined forces with the world’s leading inspection and certification company, SGS, to implement the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol, which introduces stricter hygiene standards and new health guidelines.

Among other things, the new health guidelines include disinfection bollards at all entrances, personal protective equipment, and protective screens, as well as intensive cleaning frequency and appropriate staff training.
