Italian luxury hotel group Pellicano Hotels is expected to add five to seven more properties to its portfolio, with support from real estate company and new investor Aermont Capital.

Italian hotel group Pellicano Hotels and independent real estate company Aermont Capital have just announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership. It aims to support the group’s continued growth by expanding its hotel portfolio across Italy. It is also a lever for those who seek to become the first Italian group of luxury hotels and lifestyle.

I am so proud of this milestone. The company has never been stronger and I am delighted to partner with Aermont to support our next phase of growth and further develop our unique positioning. We chose Aermont as our partner because of their shared passion and commitment to preserve and enhance the rich and magnificent Italian heritage by organizing experiences deeply rooted in Italian culture, through exceptional properties that give off their own character, their soul… and a touch of Pellicano magic,” said Marie-Louise Sciò, CEO and artistic director of the group.

Paul Golding, Managing Partner of Aermont Capital, said, “We are delighted to partner with Pellicano Hotels to further develop their bold vision of Italian hospitality. We firmly believe in the company’s ability to deliver exceptional and authentic experiences to sophisticated international travellers. Marie-Louise and her team have done a great job in cultivating this unique offering and developing the company in a sector that continues to demonstrate tremendous growth potential“.

Pellicano Hotels already has three properties across the Botte, including two of the most famous in the country (Il Pellicano and Posta Vecchia Hotel)

First there is the emblematic Il Pellicano, a veritable haunt of aristocrats and artists in the 1970s and 1980s, located in Porto Ercole on the Argentario coast in Tuscany, immortalised by the Gotha photographer Slim Aarons from 1967 to 1991 and today Juergen Teller. It is a five star establishment offering 47 rooms and suites in a pristine Tuscan cove.

La Posta Vecchia, which is located near Rome, near the airport of Fiumicino and the port of Civitavecchia. Nestled on a popular coastal site of the Roman Imperators, the hotel is housed in a 17th century Renaissance villa built for the noble Orsini family, before becoming in the 1960s, the Roman refuge of the American industrialist Jean Paul Getty. Set in lush gardens on part of the Palo Laziale coastline, this 19-room and suite hotel offers stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and easy access to the Etruscan sites of Cerveteri and Tarquinia.

Mezzatorre Hotel & Termal Spa is located on the island of Ischia and offers about 50 rooms and unparalleled views of the picturesque island of the Bay of Naples. The main building of this 39-room and suite hotel rests on the ruins of a 16th-century Moorish Revival watchtower, and its guest rooms as well as its magnificent common areas are nestled in a 17-hectare pine forest.

In addition to this new strategic partnership, the hotel group has developed a digital extension called Issimo. It is a lifestyle platform, where customers can find and acquire a unique selection of the best offers and cultural goods in Italy.
