For Euro 2021 – officially Euro 2020 – the Italian national football team will be dressed by the Italian designer Giorgio Armani.
Euro 2020, which was supposed to take place from 12 June to 12 July 2020, was postponed because of the Covid-19 epidemic. It started yesterday, on the 11th of June 2021, and will end in one month’s time, on 11 July.

For this occasion, the official uniform of the Italian national football team will be signed by Giorgio Armani. From the Emporio Armani collection, it will pay tribute to Enzo Bearzot, an emblematic figure of Italian football. Armani has designed a suit consisting of a light blue and white jacket with a mandarin collar, made of seersucker – an embossed Indian cotton fabric – and black trousers. Armani wanted to create a unique piece, inspired by both the spontaneous and authentic Italian style and that of the designer.
“I am proud to dress our national team in this period of general recovery and for such an important championship. I worked on an idea of spontaneous, sporty and authentic elegance. I have created a suit that is light but dignified, as dignified and proud as our spirit should be at this moment” , said Giorgio Armani.
Gabriele Gravina, President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), commented on the collaboration: “I would like to thank Mr. Armani because he was able to design a suit that combines and enhances three fundamental characteristics of this young, elegant and determined national team. His style fits perfectly with the direction given to the Azzurri by coach Mancini” .
Far from being a coincidence, this initiative is part of a four-year collaboration signed in 2019 by Giorgio Armani and the FIGC (“Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio”). As part of this collaboration, Armani will dress the Italian national football team, the under-21 team and the women’s national team.
