Gainerie 91, a leader in high-end packaging and merchandising, is expanding and setting up shop in Lieusaint, Seine et Marne. This location combines its new headquarters and production site in France.

The French group has just inaugurated a new 4,500 m2 site on two levels in the Parc du Levant in Lieusaint. This new location allows the company to increase its Made in France production, to relocate the production of certain customers, but also to invest in a more efficient and eco-responsible production tool.

The building, designed by 4+ Arpent Réalisation and the Optimum architectural studio, was built to be sustainable and energy efficient. It has a rainwater recovery and utilization system and its roof is equipped with 80% solar panels. This initiative will allow for an autonomy of half of the electrical consumption on average during the year.

Thinking about the environment while creating jobs? This is the basis on which the site was designed: “Following this new establishment in the heart of Greater Paris South, we will hire, over the next three years, about thirty craftsmen and are already ahead of our plan. Our skills will be doubled in the fields of sheathing, cabinet making, gilding, carpentry and support services,” explains Arnaud Haefelin, CEO of the Gainerie 91 group.

This new headquarters underlines the growth of Gainerie 91, which twenty years ago had only a small workshop in Essonne, before becoming a recognized international group.

A strategic choice

We were looking for a relevant surface, with a quality layout. It was difficult to find an existing building with low ceilings that met the needs of our leather craftsmen, because industrial buildings are generally very high. This difficulty in finding a second-hand building near Paris made us turn to the construction of new and spacious premises. We had been looking at opportunities for more than a year, it became urgent. Close to our old workshops in Montgeron, we are setting up in a quality park alongside large companies” explains Mr. Haefelin.

The group has thought of everything, down to the smallest detail. The location of the site, the ecology, the choice of the infrastructure as well as the comfort of the personnel. The site is indeed close to train stations and freeway junctions.

Finally, to carry out this work, the company benefited from the support of the State and its France Relance plan for the territories. This plan, set up in July 2020 by the government, aimed to help industrial companies in a complicated health and economic context.
