Fossil Group, a design, distribution and innovation company specialising in lifestyle accessories, announced the continuation of its partnership with the Armani group on Tuesday 15 December.

« Armani Group has had a strong partnership with Fossil Group for more than twenty years,» said Giuseppe Marsocci, Deputy Managing Director of Armani. « Their ability to design products that reflect the spirit and style of Armani gives us great confidence in the future growth of our relationship.»

The partnership between Fossil and Armani Group dates back to 1997 when the group obtained its first licensing agreement. Today, the group has 13 licensed brands in its portfolio and distributes worldwide. Fossil Group then designs and distributes Armani products under the Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange and Emporio Armani Swiss brands.

Despite 20 years of collaboration, it is true that Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange and Emporio Armani Swiss watches are not extraordinarily renowned in terms of luxury watchmaking. And yet Armani is known for its constant quest for beauty and perfection, so it was obvious that the group would re-invent its strategy to ensure the coherence of its brand.

Armani has therefore decided to change its strategy and has just announced the creation, starting next year, of a collection of high-end watches to be produced in partnership with Parmigiani Fleurier. The “Giorgio Armani Fine Watches”, in limited edition, will be on sale from November 2021 and will be sold exclusively through the Giorgio Armani distribution network. This is the first time that the Italian house is investing in luxury watchmaking, and with a Swiss institution.

Fossil Group therefore did not fail to congratulate it at the same time.

« We are proud of our long-standing relationship with the Armani Group and our ability to drive innovation and strong growth for Emporio Armani, Emporio Armani Swiss, and Armani Exchange. We want to congratulate Giorgio Armani on the announcement of their collaboration with Parmigiani Fleurier under the Giorgio Armani brand,» said Fossil Group CEO Kosta Kartsotis. « The Giorgio Armani brand entering the exclusive luxury watch market will help to build brand equity, excitement, and energy for the entire watch industry.»
