Floyd Mayweather to fight atop the luxurious Burj Al-Arab

Floyd Mayweather has confirmed that he will step into the ring again for a fight on February 20, 2022 in Dubai.

American boxer Floyd Mayweather has participated in numerous exhibition bouts since retiring from his professional career, during which he has gone undefeated in 50 fights. Frontrow TMT and Undisputed announce the famous boxer’s return to the ring in the spring of 2022, making history and headlines as the first boxing match to be held at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah helipad in Dubai.

In addition to its unparalleled location, the match will feature several innovative technologies in the sports entertainment industry: spectators will witness a live projection of the match in augmented reality on the Burj Al Arab tower, as well as a first-ever NFT blockchain integration of the event, the name of which has not been disclosed.

In sports entertainment, there are few names that match Mayweather’s iconic status. Floyd has been working with Frontrow TMT and our partner ONE Entertainment for a decade, we know what makes a great Floyd Mayweather event. Frontrow has been responsible for major events such as the Legendary Icon Tour and the Undisputed Tour in the UK and Europe,” said Keane Anis, CEO of Frontrow TMT.

Commenting on the announcement, Mayweather said, “Dubai is one of my favorite cities and Burj Al Arab is as famous as the Statue of Liberty is to New York and you know me, I’ll put on a show anywhere. Money May all day now streaming from the heliport.

Mayweather has fought several exhibition bouts since the end of his professional career, most recently against YouTube star Logan Paul on June 6 last year at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
