While the spring-summer 2021 fashion weeks ball is due to open this September, the major fashion capitals are lifting the veil on their particular organization. The Paris Fashion Week will indeed take place from September 28th and October 6th, 2020.
This season, the spring-summer 2021 ready-to-wear collections will be presented from September 28 to October 6, 2020 in Paris.
Following the major upheaval caused by the lock down on the fashion industry, many major houses, including Comme Des Garçons, Saint Laurent and Gucci have announced that they will withdraw from the official Fashion Week calendar to unveil their collections at their own pace, or to a lesser extent, will take their turn this season.
Despite this, Paris persists and signs its title of Fashion Capital with no less than 88 shows scheduled over nine days.
Paris Fashion Week, dedicated to women’s Spring-Summer 2021 ready-to-wear, will open on Monday, September 28 with Mame Kurogouchi, a promising name in Japanese fashion, and will end, as usual with Louis Vuitton, on Tuesday, October 6.
Among the most eagerly awaited shows of this PFW is the Givenchy show with its new artistic director Matthew Williams. Also noteworthy is the participation of the 10 invited members, including the very fashionable New Yorker Gabriela Hearst.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) announced in June in a press release that Fashion Week (the first to announce its return to physical format) would respect the safety standards defined by the French authorities.

But we can still expect luxury giants such as Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton to organize something spectacular for the occasion.
The PFW will be accompanied by a digital device resulting from the crisis. Shows will be relayed to those who will not be able to attend.
An alternative initiated during Fashion Week in June and July to compensate for the upheaval in the calendar due to the health crisis that forced the sector to shut down around the world.
On the program, the parades of the mythical houses follow one another: Balenciaga, Celine, Hermès, Loewe, Miu Miu, Valentino.
Fashionistas will also have the opportunity to discover the new creations of iconic houses such as Isabel Marant, Chloé and Balmain.
As well as those of designers of the moment: Jacquemus, Junya Watanabe, Marine Serre, Off-White, Y/Project etc…
