This year dazzlingly marked the 20th anniversary of the J12 watch, the iconic Chanel watch, whose high-tech ceramic casing has left its mark on the 2000s. To mark this anniversary and the Baselworld watchmaking exhibition, the company was to launch a completely transparent version of the model. However, the health context led to the postponement of the event, so the company unveiled the first images of its J12 X-RAY at the end of March. But it is a prompt and enchanting return that we are witnessing with the presentation of these new models with their singular allure.
An eloquent combination of the house’s flagship tweed and the button, the jewel of Chanel jackets, these cuff-shaped timepieces sublimate the house’s universe. Pearl, Byzantine cross, camellia or even an agate cameo with Mademoiselle Chanel’s face. All these precious elements conceal and shelter within them a small round dial set with diamonds.
An ode to the emblems of the house and of Mademoiselle Chanel herself, these six jewels of watchmaking are also a showcase for Chanel’s craftsmanship.
