On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Parisian museum signs an exceptional retrospective bringing together nearly 160 of his works.

Virgil Abloh’s idea was to merg fashion and fine arts, through an exclusive capsule collection in homage to Leonardo da Vinci.

I have been fascinated by Leonardo da Vinci for a very long time: this passion was born when I studied art during my last year at the University of Wisconsin. I admired not only his artistic work but also the influence he had on other disciplines: science, engineering, architecture … In my opinion, he embodies the spirit of the Renaissance ” declared Virgil Abloh.

Millennials are in the sights of the museum. Indeed thanks to this collaboration a new public will be affected, which will broaden the horizons by bringing more people.

This is what Adel Ziane, director of external relations at the Museum, said when interviewed by AFP (Agence France-Presse): “Collaborating with Off-White is another step to bring new audiences to the Louvre ”.

The works of the Italian master are now displayed on three t-shirts and three sweatshirts.
