The Radisson luxury hotel group announced in early June the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum, located in Bodrum on the Bay of Aspat in southwest Turkey.

With a panoramic and breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea and the Greek island of Kos, this hotel is the ideal place to enjoy a peaceful and entertaining holiday. The area surrounding Bodrum town is home to historical and natural sites such as the renovated Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. With its own private beach, the Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum promises a hidden paradise, which guests can enjoy thanks to the microclimatic characteristics of Aspat Bay.

Bodrum is a city in Turkey that is now primarily a tourist destination. Its marina, filled with picturesque cobbled streets, has a multitude of restaurants, bars, shops and cultural events. With a beautiful natural setting, Mediterranean architecture and a small inner harbour, guests of the future hotel will be able to take advantage of its privileged location, just 30 minutes away from Bodrum city centre.

Features of the Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum

The hotel offers exclusive services that are unmatched in the region.

The hotel has 80 luxurious rooms and suites with balconies or terraces overlooking the sea, the coastline and the marina. In addition to the private sandy beach, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pools, several restaurants, bars, a fitness centre, meeting and event facilities and a spa. The spa also includes a Jacuzzi, a traditional steam room, a sauna and a heated indoor pool. However, a special feature is its restaurants and bars. Amongst these, the hotel offers guests the chance to sample casual international cuisine at Café Haven and, on the other hand, BARranco offers a chance to discover the unique flavours of Peruvian cuisine.

Yılmaz Yıldırımlar, Senior Vice President of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey for the Radisson Group, commented: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our first Radisson Collection hotel in Bodrum, the so-called pearl of the Aegean coast. Our guests will discover an oasis of serenity on the turquoise shores of the Aegean Sea. With this opening, we not only expand our footprint in Turkey, but also further strengthen our position as a leading international hotel group in the region, with 31 hotels open and under development” .

The Radisson Group’s decision to locate its collection hotel in the city of Bodrum is no coincidence. The Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum is part of Ant Yapi’s Anthaven Aspat real estate project, which aims to develop luxury homes, villas and hotels in Bodrum and the wider Muğla region.

Radisson Collection, the premium brand of Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest hotel chains with which we have worked for many years, has come to Turkey for the first time through us. The Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum is the fifth tourism investment we have made so far. […] We are confident that Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum, which is part of our Anthaven project in Bodrum, will soon take its place among the world’s great hotels” , said Mehmet Okay, the chairman of the board of directors of Ant Yapı.

With its rich heritage, historic culture and beautiful beaches, Turkey has become a top tourist destination. In particular, Turkey welcomed almost 43 million tourists in 2019, a figure that jumped by 14.3% compared to the previous year. Despite the global pandemic, the number of year-round tourists travelling to Turkey continued to rise, ranking it as the 6th most visited country in the world in 2018.

The luxury sector, having noticed the influx of tourists to Turkey, particularly in its economic capital Istanbul, has for several years been setting up in this country.

Some forty companies in the luxury sector are present in Turkey, such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Armani and Hermès, particularly in the large shopping centres of Istanbul. Beymen, the Turkish equivalent of Galeries Lafayette, is the largest of those located in Istanbul, grouping together a very large number of prestigious brands such as Louboutin, Cartier, Dior, Gucci or even Rolex.
