Paris+ by Art Basel : the international contemporary art fair is back

The not-to-be-missed contemporary art event, formerly known as FIAC, is making a comeback with an edition to be held in the Grand Palais Ephémère and in several other locations in Paris, from 20 to 23 October 2022.

After a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the new edition of the famous modern and contemporary art fair brings together 156 exhibitors from 30 countries around the world.

Emerging galleries as well as major institutions representing modern art, contemporary art and design, including some of the most emblematic names on the international scene, will be present. The Fair thus presents the best of artistic creation, ranging from the modern masters of the early 20th century to the most emerging trends. A wide range of techniques – paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and art installations – are on show.

Paris+ by Art Basel also aims to build bridges to other cultural industries such as design, music, fashion and film.

Numerous exhibitions will punctuate Paris+ by Art Basel, from Cyprien Gaillard to Miquel Barceló via Carla Accardi and John Chamberlain.

At the Palais de Tokyo and at Lafayette Anticipations, the Galeries Lafayette Foundation, until January 8, 2023, Cyprien Gaillard‘s exhibition “HUMPTY / DUMPTY” brings together a selection of works never before presented in France, as well as those of invited artists. Through the relationship between the body and architecture, abandoned territories, evocations of war or invasive species, Cyprien Gaillard portrays our link to collapse and reconstruction.
