As part of the campaign for the new fragrance Miss Dior, embodied by Natalie Portman, Dior has invited 12 female artists to revisit the bottle of the famous perfume, presented in an exhibition at the castle of the Colle Noire.
Christian Dior has been throughout his life, inspired by art and women in his artistic creativity. Today, Maria Grazzia Chiuri, the current artistic director of the house, strives to highlight female artists. And it is in this spirit that 12 international artists have been called upon to revisit the iconic Miss Dior bottle. The traveling exhibition, which opens tomorrow at the Château de la Colle Noire, near Grasse, features the artists’ original works.
The sculptures and installations of the invited artists are unveiled in the gardens and interiors of the Château, exceptionally open for the occasion. Through their Carte Blanche works, the 12 guest artists will bring to life the avant-garde spirit of Christian Dior.
We remember, in 2013, the Miss Dior exhibition held at the Grand Palais, which presented the emblematic perfume through 15 creations by women artists.
Today, it is near the place where the perfume was born that this exhibition will be found, from October 15 to November 1, 2021. To be booked here.
