For its 20th edition, Made in France Première Vision brought together fashion professionals at the Carreau du Temple on 30 and 31 March. Here is a summary of the show.
Made In France Première Vision resumed its usual schedule after two online editions in September 2020 and 2021, due to the health crisis. The show was able to bring together and stimulate transformations in the sector thanks in particular to a strong attendance of 2,723 visitors, buyers and collection managers : a high-quality and diversified visitor base with big names in luxury, young designers, costume designers, but also accessory, lingerie and furniture brands.
108 exhibitors were present, offering know-how and innovation, whether in terms of manufacturing solutions, technology or research and development in terms of fabric, yarn and leather, to name but a few.
The 6th edition of the “Rencontres du Made in France” was also sold out, bringing together over 700 professionals. The conferences were organised in partnership with the French Fashion Institute to discuss the Made in France fashion of the future, its new challenges and its new perspectives.

At a time when the transformation of the industry towards a relocated and more eco-designed creative fashion is accelerating, the “Made in France” concept is becoming increasingly important for fashion brands and designers as a response to the challenges of sourcing, eco-responsible, transparent and ethical production.
The ambition of industrial relocation has been strengthened by international crises: health, economic or geopolitical, and responds to the growing expectations of consumers. Indeed, 74% of French consumers (OpinionWay survey for Première Vision) believe that “Made in France” is a guarantee of more ethical and eco-responsible fashion, and for 58% of them, it is even a priority criterion in the choice of fashion products (clothing, shoes, bags) that they buy.
