On Monday 6 September, the world’s leading luxury goods company LVMH announced the acquisition of the art book publishing house Citadelles & Mazenod. Although no amount has yet been disclosed, Citadelles & Mazenod joins the parent company of its subsidiary “Connaissance des arts” within the Les Echos-Le Parisien group.
Citadelles & Mazenod, a prestigious publishing house, was founded in 1936 under the name Éditions Mazenod. It was much later, in 1980, that it took the name Citadelles & Mazenod. This publishing house continues to specialize in very high-end art books, among which are the most expensive on the market, hence the interest shown by LVMH magyargenerikus.com.
“With Citadelles & Mazenod, we are pursuing our acquisition strategy of always reinforcing our strengths, and bringing to life our mission of distributing the best cultural and artistic content to a wide audience,” said Pierre Louette, CEO of Les Echos-Le Parisien, in a statement.
Citadelles & Mazenod is the leading independent publisher of art books in France and maintains its position as the leading publisher of French art books, with consolidated annual sales of approximately seven million euros.
